The BBC Good Food Show Winter starts tomorrow! I am very excited! So excited that I have a made you a little list of producers and stands that you must visit while you there. Some of them are ones that I have known for many years and others are new producers to me who kindly sent me some samples of their products as I am part of the BBC Good Food Show Bloggers Community.
Here is my list of my recommendations of who you must see at the show:
Ioshen Knives are the best knives in the world ever! They are all handmade in Japan and shipped over here by Natalie & Joe. What makes them different to other Japanese steel knives is that they have a hard steel layer in the middle between two softer steel layers. This means that they are very sharp and very long lasting too. I have five knives and I love every single one. Natalie has even got an engraver machine meaning that she can personalise your knives with your own logo or branding. The knives are loved by chefs and home cooks alike so what not pop along to stand N192 and give them a go for yourselves. You will not be disappointed!
Stoves (whose sister company, Belling I am an ambassador for) will be at the show with their live cook stage featuring chefs such as Brian Turner, Glynn Purnell, Phil Vickery and Rachel Allen. The stage is free to watch so just turn up to see your favourite chef in action. Stoves are proud to make their cooking appliances right here in Britain, and they want to celebrate the best of all things British. That’s why they’re excited to be hosting a very special Treasure Hunt at the show! They have hidden five British range cookers around the NEC, and they are asking you to seek them out during the show for the chance to win a very special prize – a cookery book and food vouchers worth £500 to help you create a Christmas dinner to remember.
Hedonist Bakery make the bread which are additive free. They then freeze it so you can finish the baking at home and have fresh bread whenever you want. I tried the country grains loaf which was delicious. It was full of nuts, seeds and fruit. Perfect to keep in the freezer for a special occasion. They are on stand C90 at the show.
I love Farringtons Mellow Yellow Rapeseed Oil already after being introduced to them at the summer show. It makes the most perfect chips and as the name suggests, it is much milder in taste than most rapeseed oils I have tried. It contains less than half the saturated fat that is found in olive oil and is packed full of Omega 3. Their garlic mayonnaise is excellent too. Visit them on stand F60.
Taste, the Gourmet Spice Company make a range of oils, salts and marinades. I tried their 7 year aged balsamic vinegar and it was one of the best I have ever tasted. It was excellent for dipping in bread with olive oil and is one I will be buying again! Check them out on stand J80.
Munchy Seeds sell a range of seed mixes, bars and snack packs. They are perfect for snacking on the go or sprinkling over porridge or ice cream. I am not a massive fan of seeds or nuts so this was not my favourite to be honest, but I am sure they will have something that you like so please visit them on stand J112.
The Garlic Farm, based on the Isle of Wight grow and sell their own garlic and garlic based products. I was sent one of their smoked garlic bulbs which is perfect is in a chilli con carne. I also love their onion marmalade with garlic as it is great with cheese on toast. Go and say hi on stand J56.
I am attending the BBC Good Food Show Winter on a complementary press pass. I was sent a selection of products as I am part of the BBC Good Food Show Bloggers Community. All opinions are my own. I was not required to write a positive review
