I know the weather is turning colder and the nights have already started getting shorter but I would like to pretend that it is summer for a little bit longer and encourage you to make some strawberry milkshakes. Strawberries are now available all year round at our supermarkets (I do prefer to but them when in season in Britain but with young children, this is not always the case) so this can really be made at any time of year to give you a taste of summer sunshine on a dark and cold day. The mini milk bottles shown in the picture were kindly sent for review by Nisbets PLC. I love them and think they are really cute. I am looking forward to using them for Thomas and Daniel’s birthday parties as they get older. I like shopping with Nisbets as they give you professional quality products which are ideal for both the restaurant and at home.
- 600g fresh strawberries, hulled

- 400ml cold whole milk
- Put all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
- Add more or less milk if you want a different consistency
- Serve immediately and enjoy
