A couple of weeks ago, we were invited to Breakfast With Santa at Brewers Fayre in Redhill, Stafford. We were warmly greeted by the staff and sat down to our table laden with crackers and party poppers. Thomas and Daniel were very excited! We ordered our breakfasts and then went and got our own tea, coffee and juices from the self -service area. The self-service area also had cereals, toast and fruit which were unlimited as far as I could tell. Not long after ordering, the main man himself made an appearance and the boys were enthralled. Santa was very realistic and made time to see every child sat at each table, having a conversation with them.
Soon our breakfast arrived. Brewers Fayre do a full cooked breakfast and you can choose what you would like on it. I had sausages, hash browns, mushrooms, poached eggs, beans and bubble & squeak. Stuart had similar but with bacon and without the mushrooms and bubble & squeak. Thomas and Daniel had sausages, beans and hash browns. I was very impressed with the breakfast as it was well cooked and very fresh. The sausages were high quality with lots of meat inside. My one disappointment was that the bubble & squeak was made with mini roast potatoes and lots of under cooked leeks. It was not a traditional bubble & squeak in my opinion and a bit lack lustre. I would quite happily eat the breakfast again but not with the bubble & squeak.
After breakfast, we went and saw Santa who gave Thomas and Daniel a present each. It was a colouring book/sticker set which has been made especially for the Brewers Fayre. Thomas and Daniel were very happy. Thomas asked for Hot Wheels and Daniel asked for the Flying Scotsman (Thomas & Friends toy). After visiting Santa, the boys went to burn off some energy in the soft play area and we relaxed with another cup of coffee.
We had a lovely time at breakfast with Santa and we really hope that we can go again next year. It is a bargain for the price you pay and lots of fun for everyone. Santa will be visiting Brewers Fayre across the country on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2016.
